Matt Shore was born in Twinsburg, Ohio. He studied acting, writing and comedic improvisation (long and short form) from high school onward. He went to college at Northwestern University where he was one of the first fifteen students admitted into the Creative Writing Non-Fiction program. He also wrote for, performed in and directed many campus shows and plays, including having a helping hand in founding the now-campus-tradition, Wrestlepocalypse.

Matt moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in television writing, but has recently found more success in the field of acting. He’s worked with CollegeHumor, Funny or Die, Upright Citizens Brigade, ImprovOlympic, Second City, and many other wonderful organizations. He’s had great success in the world of commercials, and recently booked his second television role on the Nickelodeon sitcom “Sam & Cat.” One of his CollegeHumor videos, Dora the Explorer Movie Trailer, was featured on Good Morning America and has to date received over 17 million views.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys performing stand-up, improv comedy and drawing cartoons. He has performed at Caroline’s on Broadway and opened for SNL’s Darrell Hammond.

Recently Matt has returned to writing, finishing a draft of his first novel “American Saviors,” as well as a short story entitled “Why Not Dimples?” He is currently working on an untitled science fiction novella.
